Susan served as Lead Illustrator and Animator for four award-winning children’s educational software titles at Great Wave Software. She holds an A.S. Degree in Multimedia Communications & Presentations and has pursued ongoing independent study and training with Bay Area artists.

Susan’s watercolor landscape paintings contain bold, vibrant color palettes and dynamic compositions. Inspired by her appreciation of the works of Matisse and Cezanne, Susan explores the interplay of color, light, and perspective to evoke emotion and atmosphere. Each piece reflects a synthesis of personal experience and travel, with a focus on capturing the essence of natural environments through fluid brushwork and layered washes. Susan’s multidisciplinary background inspires a unique approach to texture and detail, resulting in works that are both visually striking and thoughtfully composed.

an is a multidisciplinary artist based in Los Gatos, California. After retiring in 2019, she has focused on watercolor painting, building on a background in oil painting, digital art, jewelry making, and quilting.
